As you’d expect from one of Sydney’s leading IT service providers, our staff are highly skilled across a number of technical specialties. We pride ourselves on our combined sales, consulting and support skillset. We don’t think of ourselves as ‘geeks’ but we are a bit fanatical when it comes to learning about new and upcoming technology trends. Most importantly we have a level of easy communication to go with our expertise that many other IT businesses simply don’t have. Our team are all Sydney-based and when you call us you’ll talk to the same team each time. That will be someone who knows you and your IT set-up; they can answer your questions quickly and resolve any issues you may be experiencing fast.

Our History

Introcom Computer Services Est. 1996

Katana IT is one of Sydney’s most experienced managed services specialists. Over more than two decades we’ve adapted and evolved with the rapid pace of technological change. Our focus is on the provision of managed services to small and medium sized businesses. Being a small business ourselves, we understand how critical it is that your IT systems and services run smoothly. From the desktop to the cloud and everything in between, we ensure our client’s IT systems are optimised, efficient and protected.

Business Name Changed to Katana IT in 2010

Our business originally started in 1996 as Introcom Compupter Services. In 2010, we changed to Katana IT. The word ‘Katana’ came from the Japanese sword of the same name: a curved blade with a finely honed cutting edge. The symbolism seemed perfect too, as our founding director Wade Lockhart has studied Japanese martial arts for over 20 years both locally and internationally. He beleived the unsurpassed technology and precision of the Katana sword blended perfectly with our passion for cutting edge technology.

New Look Branding, Logo and Website in 2020

Kaizen is a well known Japanese business philosophy, which essentially translates to continuous improvement. This concept of continuous improvement drives the workplace culture and practice methods of Katana IT. To celebrate 10 years of kaizen, we have developed a brand new logo and a new website; this very website that you’re reading now! We look forward to another decade with refreshed confidence and a renewed focus to take care of your IT, so you can take care of business.

Directing all profit made from the sale of refurbished equipment into tree planting and reforestation efforts on a property we sponsor in rural NSW.

Environmental Quality Standards

Only selling quality equipment, so we can ensure a long service life of everything we install, reducing the amount of E-Waste we need to process.
