Our focus is on the provision of managed services to small and medium sized businesses. Being a small business ourselves, we understand how critical it is that your IT systems and services run smoothly. From the desktop to the cloud and everything in between, we ensure our client’s IT systems are optimised, efficient and protected.
Our business originally started in 1996 as Introcom Computer Services. In 2010, we changed to Katana IT. The word ‘Katana’ came from the Japanese sword of the same name: a curved blade with a finely honed cutting edge.
The symbolism seemed perfect too, as our founding director Wade Lockhart has studied Japanese martial arts for over 20 years both locally and internationally. He believed the unsurpassed technology and precision of the Katana sword blended perfectly with our passion for cutting edge technology.
Here at Katana IT, we really care about treading lightly on the earth. We are committed to reducing the impact we have on the environment.
We demonstrate this by:
• Ensuring all decommissioned equipment removed from our clients’ sites are either refurbished for re-use or disposed of using a reputable, E-Waste disposal service.
• Directing all profit made from the sale of refurbished equipment into tree planting and reforestation efforts on a property we sponsor in rural NSW.
• Only selling quality equipment, so we can ensure a long service life of everything we install, reducing the amount of E-Waste we need to process.
• Running a 100% paperless office and using electronic documents and systems.
